[Z06] 911 turbo?
I read your post about Tim needing to learn how to drive his 996 TT. You
should do research on Tim before making that statement. I have been racing
with Tim for two (2) years. In the four (4) years I have known Tim, he has
been to 3 race driver schools, one at Laguna Seca and two a Sears Point, he
has raced at http://www.openroadracing.com
I was his navigator in three of those races at speeds over 150MPH. I can
tell you he can drive, in fact when we had a blowout at 105 MPH in his 996
TT you would be lucky to be able to drive as well has he did, I know I was
with him. He has owned many cars to include Corvettes, BMW and currently has
a MB CLK 55 AMG with a supercharger. When you talk about cars and racing
come on out to the track and learn what some of the forum members are doing
and when they speak or write they have been there and just being
informative.
By the way I will be at Buttonwillow the 15th of Nov and Thunderhill on the
23rd racing my 2003 Z06 and look forward to looking at the 996 TT in my rear
view mirror.http://www.openroadracing.com/results/2001_Gamblers_Run_results.xls

The 996TT is all show and very little go! I had mine for five weeks! Drove it hard and put 3200 miles. I couldn't wait to get ride of it. It was the worst car I have ever owned. I can’t tell you all the things are wrong with that car.
I ran a 02 Z06, 50-140mph. I took off fast but he passed me like I was waiting for a parking space. I mean I was humiliated! I sold the car a few days later.
You should of raced him, if not for the experience. The pleasure of stomping one of the world most expensive cars.
I always wanted a Porsche Twin Turbo now that I’ve had one. I laugh every time I see one.

maybe you need to learn how to drive :p:
a 911 TT will smoke the Z06 :)
(If you tap your heals together and keep wishing, it just might happen).
Keep reading your car magazines and living life through others instead of experiencing it first hand.
As for my Driving skills, down shifting and stomping on the gas pedal doesn't take allot of brains.
But knowing when to stop does!
Tim
Lol, i knew it was too good to be true to have everyone on the forum to be cool. oh well, there has to be a ***** in here somewhere, i guess it "spices" up the forums. later butthole. :jester
The car just looks strong and beefy , but after running one a couple weeks ago i'm going to stay with american muscle. The porsche looks great parked in the driveway but was a real disapointment when i saw it in action.
I had him by more than a dozen car lengths .

I'm still in the dreaded 500 mile break-in period with my Z06 but also had a 10-year experience with a 1990 ZR-1. And I do know that I took anything on the road with my old beast. It was stock until the eight year of ownership when I went to a B&B system. Actually preferred the stock system, come to think of it (except for the louder tunes).
