While I haven’t moved any furniture, I have moved most of our personal items that could be boxed up along with over half of the “stuff” in my old garage. I have a pull down stairway in the garage upstairs and figured I would just use it for long term storage. After sorting a few boxes, I decided I had accumulated enough treasures that I could move them to the attic so there would be fewer things to stumble over in the basement.
During this minor task I discover something else about the house that I didn’t know. The ceiling joists in the garage are 2 x 10’s running full length front to back and the entire space over the garage is floored with 1/2” OSB. It won’t happen right away but I’m going to add an lvl beam under the center of the ceiling and then I’ll be able to finish out that space and have a special place for the grandkids to play. With the high roof line there is still plenty of long term storage up there.
Hey John, I forgot to tell you before. If you need somebody to exercise that 67 Chevelle and drool on it some, I'm your huckleberry. Touché !!!
Beautiful house !
Best wishes always

Sadly any exercising for the Chevelle would have to be done with a tow rope attached. I’m hoping to get the Chevelle moved to the basement after all my construction chores are done. Until then, I may have to move it to my mothers house and store it in my Dad’s old shop. It will be a body off restoration this time, if I live long enough! I will call you when it is able to move under it’s own power again.
