Ok, I know this may sounds like a crazy question but could a 2005-07 Corvette keyfob (right pic) work on a 2001-04 C5 (left pic)? Just like the looks of the C6 fob better compared to the rather generic C5 fob. Seems to have the same functionality. Didn't know if the electronics were different between the two.
Anyone ever tried to use a C6 fob on a C5? Would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!!

You have to have the C6 RF receiver box. On the C5 there are two distinctive styles for US market cars; 1997-2000 and 2001-2004. If the car is a Euro or similarly export model C5 there is a specific RF receiver for export models. The RF receiver is also what receives the TPMS sensor readings.
My guess at the least you would need;
- The C6 RF receiver
- All four C6 TPMS for the wheels.
- A C6 FOB.
If your current setup is working fine I wouldn't even attempt it.

Didn't know if it would be complicated to do that. Sounds like it would be. Really appreciate the information. That's what I love about this forum. It has so many experienced and knowledge members that we can all tap into! Thanks!!!
You can get some aftermarket C5 flip-key fobs that look a lot more modern. (search ebay fro c5 flip key). There was a thread about those recently, and i'm in the process of making logo stickers for the flip keys.

i agree with above though, the c6 fobs won't work
Guess it was worth a shot to ask. Sounds like the standard C5 keyfob is the best option.
