Oem spark plugs!

So confused. I need plugs and wires for my 02....I think. I only have about 36,500 miles on her but the plugs and wire are original. It has to go into my trusted mechanic for an alternator change so I figure why not do a plug and wire change at the same time.
So....do I need to replace them? If so, which part number for the plugs? 41-110? EBay has them for $22 for a set of 8. If you get a $3 rebate for each plug, I'll end up $2 ahead. Something doesn't add up

All 8 plugs (real AC, but came from china) had to be re-gapped from .025 to .040. Don’t know what happened over there,
the packaging looked pristine....

So while we on the subject..how is everyone keeping there wires from being burnt with headers ? I have heat socks and now im wrapping them in header wrap but only 3 wires. The wires are so close with headers!

On my truck, I used this thin, silver, space-suit looking stuff that comes in rolls. A 36” x 1.25” ID roll is about $15.
I like that it fits a little loose with an air space inside.
You see a similar material over the brake lines on the C5.
I will be the guinea pig here. I don’t have headers, but using my new wires naked. Will post how they hold up.
