My Michelin Pilot Sport’s ride pretty good. A Corvette is not know for a comfortable ride, it’s a sports car and in designing it the engineers sacrificed comfort over handling. Not to many options I’m aware of but perhaps others on the forum know of a solution. Check your shocks and make sure they are working correctly. Also verify factory ride height, if it’s lowered it will ride harder. Good luck!
Which non run flat tires give the softest ride and the best value ? My newly purchased '03 rides like a lumber wagon. Will check shocks for leaks.
Not sure your comparison of a lumber wagon is accurate, so I can not offer any help, because of that. EVERYTHING is a trade off... harder ride, better handling by reducing dive. What suspension package does your car have? If you want it to ride like Lexus, it won;t handle like a Corvette. Tires with a low aspect ration, eg. 30 or 25 are not forgiving.. a better ride would be found with a 40 or 45 aspect ration. Brande of tire means little. Compound means more... A touring tire with a high value rating for tire longevity would not be as good as a softer performance compound with a minimal tread ware rating. comparing tread are numbers are only comp[arable from the same manufacturer because there is no National standard fpr tire life ratings.
You want standard shocks, not Z51, or HD … those are for better handling at the trade off of a softer ride.
So to answer your question, you want basic shocks, with a high numerical number aspect ratio like a 40 or 45, and a tire compound with a sho9rt tire life that is found in a performance tire. Dont compare one manufactures specs to another manufacturers.
I did my best to offer qualified advice

Thanks for your input. When my '64 coupe rides better than the C5, something just ain't right. Nitto soft compound tires provide a comfortable ride, I've been told.
I ordered these from Walmart.com. So far they are very good. Quiet and smooth. Price was right also. I paid a little over $500 for four of them with free shipping to the local store.

I ran Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs on my C5 and was very pleased with the performance, handling, low road noise and ride. Best of all they did not cost an arm and a leg to buy a set.

I just priced these tires at Wally World and they were way higher than that.
