Here is a test where they actually tested stuff that matters like flow, cleaning capability, etc. Any name brand filter will work....I have yet to document that a engine ever failed due to the oil filter as the cause (as long as it is the correct part number and was changed at reasonable service intervals).
Purolator Oil Filters have been my go to Oil Filter since the 60's when I first started driving. Actually Purolator invented the Oil Filter for cars and trucks back in the day. Later on in the late 70's when I went into the Auto Parts business opening up a Carquest Auto Parts store then I sold Purolater Oil Filters. Done so for over 38 years now retired and never a problem to report at all. They were always a top of the line oil filter and they still are today.
