I've always been told that Wix made the best filters.

Here is a test where they actually tested stuff that matters like flow, cleaning capability, etc. Any name brand filter will work....I have yet to document that a engine ever failed due to the oil filter as the cause (as long as it is the correct part number and was changed at reasonable service intervals).

I like the nut on the end of the K&Ns. Makes it easy to tighten and remove. But now that they are made in Mexico, well....

3506 Fram./ Same as I use for my 5.3 L Chevy Truck.
138K miles on the car and 98K on the truck. No problems.

Just to save some people some driving and maybe a buck or two. Microguard filters, O'Reilly's in house brand, are made by Wix.

Purolator Oil Filters have been my go to Oil Filter since the 60's when I first started driving. Actually Purolator invented the Oil Filter for cars and trucks back in the day. Later on in the late 70's when I went into the Auto Parts business opening up a Carquest Auto Parts store then I sold Purolater Oil Filters. Done so for over 38 years now retired and never a problem to report at all. They were always a top of the line oil filter and they still are today.
