I was in a parking lot yesterday when a guy walked over and said he had been waiting to see who owned my car. He said he has wanted a millennium yellow for quite some time. He came right out and said he would give me $19K for it right now! I was of course skeptical, but it wasn't a scam. He said his bank was just down the street and we could go there and he would give me the cash. Well I was surprised to say the least, knowing that my stock '03 really isn't worth that much. Although I will say it's in great shape and only has 30K on the clock. That's when I came to the realization that I REALLY like this car. So I told him that it wasn't for sale, after all it took me 6mos. to find it in the first place, and I have too much fun driving it. He was dead serious, and gave me his number if I changed my mind. We live in strange times!!
Ive been down that road several times... Your car is very nice. To someone looking for an exceptional C5 with what is referred to in the business as "Nice Eyes or optics ".. your car fits that category. I have a list people who want my car, if I ever decide to sell it.
Lots of nice C5's on this forum.. Cars that are far from the average C5 I see on the street. C5's I would not look at twice.

Id have taken that for sure, could have a MY zo6 for that. Probably could have hem hawed and said 21k and its yours.
Yeah, but then I'd have to go and try to find another one. I'll just keep mine til the wheels fall off, because I don't believe I'd find one in as good a shape as this one.
I get asked about them quite a bit. They're from Ridies.com. I bought the skins, then had a local upholsterer install them. I was reluctant to do it sight unseen, but I'm pleased how they turned out. AND a LOT LESS than having an upholstery shop do it. The guy who installed them said he couldn't do it for less than approx. $1500. He wasn't sure how much it would be for him to have the leather dyed, so it could be more. To be upfront, I paid a total of $825. That's for the skins and installation.
I’ve always heard a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and I believe the opposite is also true.
Owning a car that brings you joy and satisfaction is worth more than a little money.
That's a terrific price including install.
Is that because you went with synthetic seats?
Trying to decide between leather and synthetic.
Dont know if the synthetic would be like sitting on old fashioned vinyl seats in the heat.

Who are they and where do they live? I'll pay them a visit
OP, your car looks amazing, love the interior. If someone offered that kind of money for my 99 I'd be walking home.

No they're leather. Installer said the quality was really good.
That's a tough choice for sure and I've been there also. I would be ashamed and asked if I was stupid if I told people what I turned down for mine. You did the right thing for you and that's what is important. Looks really nice.
Great looking C5!! And that is a hard press to sell.
When my C5 FRC arrived to Germany (Forged 402, loud obnoxious, 500hp/505tq, I was offered "$50,000 tomorrow!!" And this guy said it with increased determination three or four times.
I should have taken it. Within 6 months, I shattered teh couplings on my torque tube and replaced a clutch. Then dropped a lifter on Nurburgring.
By the time I got the FRC back stateside, I spent $18,000 in repairs and lost a $50,000 sale.
