Once installed, you install the candi and gm software on the virtual machine, then after that it runs simple, just click icon and it works. Need to be mildly savvy to get it but, nice to use a laptop and not a handheld thing.

That's an awesome option. I have not seen this before. Thanks for sharing. I have had a similar device called VAGCOM for years with software from ROSSTECH I use on my VWs. This sounds like a very similar set up. Do you know if it will operate on an older Windows XP machine or do I need to put it on a Windows 7 or newer one?

Very attractive option. If only it worked natively on modern machines ... if only it worked natively on modern machines that don't run windows ... sigh. A man can dream

I never understood why so many automotive software programs only work with outdated machines or versions of windows.

I heard of people using a tool in windows to run older 32 bit legacy software but I haven't tried it.

K.I.T.T., did you purchase yours from this vendor or was this link provided as an example? Also, did it come with the software to install and set up the V.M.?
