Well if you’ve seen my posts before, you know I’m a mechanical noob. Can anyone tell me what this is coming off the brake fluid reservoir? It doesn’t seem like it should be there based on other pictures I’ve seen. It really make changing the plugs and wires really annoying.

That's an adjustable brake bias regulator with a pressure gage. You can adjust the rear brake hydraulic pressure with that setup. I would keep it and just work around it to get at the plugs, how often do you change or inspect the plugs anyway?

That looks like an adjustable proportioning valve with gauge for your rear brakes.

I finished changing the plugs and wires a few weeks back so I’m good to go for quite some time.

I just was was wondering what it is and what it actually does.

Thanks!

As previously mentioned, it's an adjustable brake bias valve. What hasn't been mentioned, is that it's something that's not factory. Looks like sometime in the past, your car had seen some "track duty"....

I figured it wasn’t stock as I haven’t seen it in any other picture of a stock engine compartment.

I wonder what what else I will find or that I should be looking out for.

Seems odd though. Everything that I can tell other than that is completely stock.
