Nope. She has that beautiful 5th gen styling and still turns heads. (Most importantly my own)

A little when I look at the interior quality, but that's it. The body design will hold up for a very long time.

All Corvettes are cool, in their own way. I really love my C5Z and think the new C8 is the most exciting generation to be introduced, so far. However, if I had the choice between that C8 or that C1, it would be a really tough choice.

Nope.....I see so many pristine C5’s in SW Florida and they all draw attention here. I love mine especially in silver with black interior. Just updated the stereo to a pioneer touchscreen which the shop installed perfectly. I actually like the interior of the C5 more than the C6.

Nope, I love my Z16. Mine is everything I ever wanted, and yes my Dad has an 08 Z51, Uncle Jack has a 63 restored roadster and an 09 Z51. I don't care for the C7, nice upgrade but not for me, to many blind spots and cramped interior. Yes, I love the new C8, I will have one, but my Z16 I am absolutely in Love with.

Mine and Dad's car's Father's Day weekend.

Funny to bring this up because...honestly...my car is my car...I'm happy with it. Comparison is the thief of joy, so I don't spend a lot of time doing comparisons. I compare my Z06 to when I bought it, not what else is out there. That being said...for some reason, the other day I just felt real unhappy about my car all of a sudden. I've had it longer than nearly any car I've ever owned...it's been at the top of my list favorite. Keep in mind, I had multiple Ferrari's, a Porsche 993, two kit cars which were blisteringly fast, mutliple M cars, etc. I kept this Z through a lot of them, because I really liked it that much. The other day though I realized....I am just tired of it. I have to change it's appearance or....unfortunately, I think its days are numbered.

For what its worth I believe moving to 18/19 inch wheels creates the c5 to an even more contemporary design.

the c5 is a stunning design. I moved to a c6 z51 and have a reservation for a c8 z51 and I just stopped into this thread to state my opinion that the c5 is a fantastic design and in my opinion not dated.....its cool...

getting larger diameter wheels and tires when its time to buy new tires would be my only concession to twenty years of time moving forward with regards to styling.

enjoy

The pic in the OP shows the middle car as sleek, small, sporty and dare I say modern. I do prefer the C6 back end, but the C5 front is timeless to me.

Wait..... What..? Is the C8 really that huge in comparison to the C5, at least from the front?

I'll be the first to admit the C5 is dated as hell and and it's laughable IMO, put it next to a C7+ and it most definitely is. With that being said I absolutely love my dated Z06, and it brings a smile to my face very time I turn the key and take it for a drive. I've owned the car for 5 years and I never get tired of driving it.

Yes my ‘01z is dated, has a manual transmission, gen3 engine, not much past the basics in terms of creature comforts.

Doesn’t matter. It is what it is, same as if I owned a ‘59. It is what it is.

Not really. I updated the stereo to one with Bluetooth. I have a heads up display.
