Update on the Z
Hi everyone...seems like the car has more problems than i thought it did. Seems that both rear tires are shot and the rear left rim is bent too badly to keep. Got scratches all over the bottom of the car. Took it to the Goodyear shop today and they gave me an estimate of 1650 for 2 new rear tires, 1 new rear rim, new valve stem, wheel balancing, tire disposal fee, computerized allignment. this really sucks big time...but all i can do is hope that they can fix it soon.

basically, what happened was i just got onto 80w towards San Francisco. I had to cut out to the second lane because the lane i was in was an exit only lane. As i was cutting out, i was going 55mph, i hit a bump and i guess the car shot up in the air a little and when it landed back onto the ground, it hydroplaned. It skid to the right shoulder at about 40mph and i was frantically trying to turn the wheel and press on the breaks...nothin happened. It fell into a ditch and by then my car had turn 90 degrees and faced the freeway. I could not get out of that mess because it had rained before and i was stuck in mud. I was a good 20 feet into the right shoulder
I called 911 and told them my location, and then called AAA. 45 min goes by and no one comes. They then sent a helicoptor to locate me and after 1 hr of waiting, AAA came. I was all muddy and walked towards them. They said they might damage my car because it was pretty far into the mud. Well at long last my car was out and i thought i only had a flat on the rear left tire. But this wasnt the case as i took it into the Goodyear shop today. 2 rear tires shot, rim was messed up...all because of one incident.
At least no one was hurt. Whats more important and precious than a human life?

Good to hear that you're safe and sound. If your car insurance will pay (depending on how much), now might be the time to check out either a chrome, polished or even aftermarket wheels for your ride.
Always look for a silver lining even in the darkest cloudburst.

if your insurance covers the incident then go that route. but if you have to pay, then i have to say forget that estimate... people are selling take off z06 wheels/tires for that amount... for 4 wheels, not just 2.
