Wrong. Both Run flats and all season tires are compromises when it comes to performance. Recommending all season tires for Florida is just bad advice and a waste of money if you want maximum performance for your sports car. Yes, please read about tires before you make a decision. Not too hard to find out the truth. Try Google. You might learn something.

Look at the Achilles if cash is important. They are rated 5 star overall and it is hard to believe a tire can be good and that cheap. I bought a set and they drive alot better than the Michelin PS they replaced but those were worn out pretty good. I am real happy so far....

You should try google. You might learn something. To say run flat tires will perform better than non runflats shows how little you know. Google is your friend. I use it alot to get the facts instead of relying on opinions of those that don't know the facts.
If the OP wants the best performing tires in Florida he should buy summer tires. That's what they are made for. A/S runflats are not.
After we’ve determined that the best tire type for Florida are summer tires, let’s see other categories of tires. Grand-touring tires will probably be the most common type. They provide excellent straight-line stability, good grip, and traction in the corners, outstanding comfort and quietness, and are the most durable in the long run. Due to their qualities, I think that grand-touring summer tires are the best choice for owners of mid-size sedans, compact cars, SUVs, crossovers, Trucks.

Tires are tires! I just found that tire happen to turn out to be really great in my own opinion. I rather put the extra 600 into the engine or interior! Tech has improved I rip 700 plus ponies they don’t slip unless your on it 1st but you get that in any tire. It also had great control coming out of a fishtail. You could feel the grip. I almost paid out for for the originals. Those were smooth also I loved the run flats. The contact sports seem like you will get a vibration in ride quality but I haven’t tried them so I just base it off how it appears to me.

You will have trouble matching a 18/19 rim and tire for stock sizes they are equivalent.

Another here for the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. They are what I have and performed great when I went to Tail of the Dragon last month. Cannot beat the price either.
