Well after reading a billion reviews and procastinating forever I dropped the hammer on a Quickjack BL-7000SLX. Costco was the cheapest place and they stop selling the 5000 here in Ontario, Canada and the price of the 7000 was the same price as the 5000 available elsewhere. Can't wait to start doing my own work!
Give a review after you get some use out of the 7000 if you don't mind. I thought about getting one to use for the truck as well as the Vette, but was concerned about whether the additional length and height might be a problem.
I'm just brainstorming, I haven't pulled out a tape measure yet and the car is so new to me that I haven't even bought pucks yet!

The 7000 is 1/2" taller when fully compressed, the frame length is the same as the 5000 at 70" and the lift point minimum and maximum are also the same, the 7000 is 2" wider and 20lbs heavier. I think the difference between the two is a small trade off to be able to use it for the Vette and my SUV.

Well I finally got around to setting up my QJ, hoses and fluid.
I'm not using for my C5 but for my old C4 Convert. I need to replace all of the rubber bushings in the front and rear suspension. My only choice seems to be polyurethane bushing. Yes, I know some squeak, won't be able to hear in this old noisy beast.
Getting a C4 on the QJ was a little tricky. She's a Convert with manual trans, so I had to remove the X stiffening member under the body, wow what a PITA, on the ground on my back.... There's just enough room between the tires on the 96 inch wheelbase to operate the QJ. Time to place the safety blocks, remove the wheels and squirt the suspension hardware penetrating oil and let her sit for a few days. No ruch on this job, just need to get finished by summer..
Finally got it all together this weekend. It was easier then I had anticipated, I think the biggest struggle was the coiled hydraulic lines. Anyhow she works like a dream, got the car up and although it was a bit cool this weekend I made quick work of removing the stock exhaust. Now to get the Billy Boat Bullets installed!

Good to read your success. Yes, those hydraulic lines. When you done, lay them in the sun and when them warm then start straitening them. Mine aren't perfectly straight, but better.
I've installed Borla, but a C5 owner friend installed Billy Boat, you'll luv them
The Muffler system is a bit Tricky to get aligned perfectly so the Ends fit out the very rear level and looking good. It'snot the maker, just the clamping.
Thanks! I notice the manufacturer actually uses a straight edge and clamps them to the tips to keep them aligned. My OCD won't let me have uneven tips so hope that does the trick. Also got the Billy Boat X pipe going in as well. Wish me luck!!
Not to hijack the thread but I want one of these. I would like to buy one that would work for my vette but also my other vehicles, Tahoe and F150. Is there a model that would work for all?. I am also building a new garage addition would it be worth it to built it into the the floor and be able to drive over it? Not having to move them around and getting the hoses in a conduit in the slab.

I bought the Quickjack 5000 and have used it to lift my Cadillac SRX SUV works perfectly! I just made some wood risers and bought the pinch weld blocks.
To recess them into the floor and be able to drive over them would require they be deep enough that you could also have a cover capable of supporting the weight of the car while you drive over it. You would then lose several inches of lifting height. I keep mine on the floor and drive the Corvette over them and just pull them out from under to the sides when I need to lift the car. The C5 cleared them easily; however, I found them difficult to slide along the floor - concrete floor that is fairly rough. So I put the ends onto little three-wheel dollies. This lifted them up enough that I had to create a very slight ramp system for the car to drive up on. Now it works like a charm.
