This is what I did and I think it works great after trying several other failures...
...For me, it's exactly what I was looking for. Portrait, Landscape, Low Profile and stable!
This came out very nice!

Has anybody seen how the 11" version looks in our cars? I'd want my phone a little higher than the 8" version...
I can see your point. I tend to favor something more in my peripheral line of sight, kind of à la HUD ... Has anybody tried the iOttie Easy One Touch 2, or 3, or 4? What's the consensus?
Old thread yes, but i just went out and checked this on my '99 FRC. My set of eBay molded polyurethane jacking pucks fit perfectly snug in the factory cup holder - maybe a second option would be a hockey puck?

I purchased the weathertech cup holder for my vette and it didn't work. I purchased a longer cord for the phone which puts my phone in the rear hatch behind the passenger seat. Once Apple care play is up, you don't even need to see the phone.
Hope this helps.
C5 4 Me
I am changing out the OEM radio with a Pioneer - 6.8" Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™, Bluetooth®, HD Radio™, - Multimedia Digital Media Receiver with Amazon Alexa.
In order for the radio to fit, I ordered a Metra DP-3021B Black Double Din Stereo Dash Kit for 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette.
The cup holder in the dash kit is deep enough to use the WeatherTech CupFone with extension.
Once everything was installed, the WeatherTech CupFone did not work. It tipped over when the holder was extended the full 4"".

This one is from Pro Clips and is awesome. It just snaps in. It's made for the C5. You purchase the clip and then purchase what kind of mount you want. I got the magnetic mount. Stick the magnet on the clip and a small metal plate on the back of your phone and you're good to go. I have the cable from my Kenwood coming out from the bezel right below the mount for my Apple Car Play, charging, etc...

I came across this thread searching for C5 phone mount options. I have the ProClip mount for my C7Z and love it, however I had a question regarding their C5 version...
I have a modified DD bezel and even when running the OEM bezel, many owners know that the bezel tends to separate from the dash over time sometimes leaving a gap. Since the C5 ProClip mount connects to the OEM bezel right where this gap exists, does the ProClip make the problem worse or widens the existing gap? Any pics from the passenger side showing the gap between the bezel and the dashboard?
I can take some pics of mine. It doesn't really seem any worse than it usually is - but I'm also not really much of a stickler about that kind of thing. The mount is great, though.
