The Clutch, ditto, just as black. The clutch will get a remote bleeder in a couple weeks. The Previous owner knew how to polish paint, but it is beginning to look like he only did what he thought was needed maintenance-wise. Brake fluid was not on his list...... I'm sure I will find some other little nits like that.
I'm glad I saw your post. I was thinking about selling my C5 and upgrade to a C7 because of fear of not being able to find repair parts for my vette. I have put so much money in my vette which i would not be able to recover with sale. I'm keeping my C5 and worry about replacement parts when the time comes.

I can't recall the exact offsets right now, but I put a set on my C7 and they fit better than the OEM C5 ones (C7 and C6 base need a really high offset). I just remembered... OEM C5Z wheels are +56 and the TSWs are +65 so they TSWs sit 9mm more inward.
Thanks for the info. I’m a new C5Z owner and it is my track car. Or it will be after the shop finishes and I get a square set of 18’s Planning on r888r 305 or 315 for the rubber.

I always ran 295 or 315 square Hoosiers for racing. For a trackday car I'd probably consider a 295 Toyo R888. I'm not convinced the 315 is any faster anymore as it's stuffed on a 10.5" wheel. The 295 is better fit to the wheel and lighter.

Thanks again. Going 295 also opens up other options. Mainly do track days and TT’s no club racing yet.

If you're setting it up to TT w/ NASA you'll have to have A7s and a trailer to compete.... at least in my region around VIR. You can HPDE all you want on street tires, and you can TT to to start timing yourself, but you can't compete on anything but A7s.

Have been running a BMW e46 and haven’t looked at the club rules.
Need to spend some quality track time with a car that has twice the power and is lighter than the e46

ToyoR888 or similar and just get seat time. C5 seats are horrible so I suggest a custom fit race seat and harnesses (w/ harness bar). Swap the seat out between street/track. Look at AMT Motorsports for the best seat mount made. I'm 6'4" 270 so I always go with custom fit Ultrashield metal seats, Not a ton of FIA composite seats that fit well in a C5 w/o removing the lower seatbelt retractor mechanism.

Agree about the seats. Just the test drive convinced me that the complaints were spot on. And the test drive was in the rain.
i am shorter than you you by 2” but lateral support is very important to me. I had been looking at Sparco, Corbeau and OMP but not sure about fitment. Need to get down to Wine Country Motorsports and find out.
Briefly looked at AMT’s site. Thanks for the direction.
