I had a 1994 STS that was supposedly the "fastest best handling FWD sedan" at the time, purported to have a 150MPH top speed. I did 145 on the best speeding stretch of I-90 you can find... it developed a tick and the engine blew 6 months later. WEAK.

I tangled with a 911 on I-5 when I first got my C5 and the only frightening part was at 130 the Corvette was stable as any car I've driven at 35. I don't need to press it any further, I have no doubt it'll go to the far side of 160 (I have the 2.73 diff).

I hit 146 before I came up on some traffic. It was still accelerating like a banshee, and very stable.

I let off on the top of 5th, car felt pretty comfy, but i ran out of ***** spirit.

At the dragstrip I kept it WOT for a second after crossing the line and saw 125 on the HUD.
Out of 60+ cars I've had over the yrs my Z06 is not the quickest. But it pulls harder above 80mph than any of them.
