Rather than risking damage to the build sheet that was attached to the car, why not buy the reproduction build sheet and the windshield sticker from the National Corvette Museum? They are just like the original sheets. The build sheet will have all of the RPO codes for whatever was installed on th car and the window sticker shows the the options that are on the and it includes the costs. It will also show the name of the dealer that received the car.

Factory build sheets for C5 Vettes are stuffed into the front frame crossmember on the drivers side. They are a PITA to get out because you have to remove the front fascia to access the open end of the crossmember. Mine was in bad shape when removed - water damage.

Thanks to bjones7131 for the link for a free build sheet as suggested in his post. GM Social Media sent a build sheet pdf in a few hours and apologized for it taking so long! I now have a build sheet to accompany the original window sticker for my 03 Z.

It’s on the drivers side front. Simply remove the front bumper and the styrofoam. It would take maybe an hour and it's rolled up and in great shape aside from a layer of dust.
Here's mine. You can see the piece of masking tape the factory used to stick it to the car as it went down the line. My car was further disassembled in this picture because I was doing a major project. I put the build sheet in a ziplock bag along with my contact information (so a future owner could contact me) and put it back in place.

I shot an email and apparently 1998's are too old for GM Social to do. I was given a link to http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/?page=4 (for pay).
Can anyone verify that they also have not been able to get build sheets for their 1998 or older Corvette? Thanks!

Save your lunch money and spring for the laminated one from NCM. And while you're at it get the window sticker too. You won't be sorry... Got both for my '98...
