I see online there are multiple options and price ranges for driver's side window regulators with motor...is one better than the others? I want to get something that will work, but still pay a reasonable price
I replaced mine a year ago with this one from Amazon and have had no issues with it. Installation it pretty strait forward, just make sure you mark everything and it shouldn't need much adjustment when you are done.
Power Window Regulator With Motor Assembly Front Left Drivers Side Replacement fit for 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette 10338548
When i replaced mine I bought an AC Delco regulator. There were posts on here saying the cheaper aftermarket ones did not last, so I payed a little more for the Delco. I have not had any issues with the replacement window regulator
I bought One from Rock Auto not OEM. Worked ok slow going up and down. Bit of a issue with wind noise. Took it to the dealer and getting coolant change and ejectors cleaned had them take a look at the window issue. They said you have A/M regulator the did fixed for a couple of days. So I bought OEM window Regulator. What a huge difference . Rolls up faster and no wind noise. Lesson you get what you pay for.
Sad story first. I bought a C5 Corvette with 3400 miles took it to the Corvette Fairway dealership here in Vegas to change fluids. Something fell on the window chipped the top of it and messed up my regulator. They replaced it with a O'Reillys Dorman 748–472. With the window up the door open the window is sloppy. With the window down you get air noise and the speaker is vibrating the window. Determined the problem was with the little green things that ride up and down the track having too much play. now I'm looking for a replacement.
