I did remove my engine this weekend also it was a pain in the but since i have not removed the front and the cradle is also in the way , did you remove the cradle ?
I did. I dropped the entire rear sub with the transmission, diff and torque tube all attached, then I hooked up the engine crane, dropped the front suspension and then removed the motor mount nuts underneath and the 4 bolts holding the cradle and lowered it down onto jack stands below. Then I pulled the engine out the top.
Nice work, the boys will have great memories of working on the Corvette with their dad.
My girls help too. But I have to say the absolute best part of this is working together on it with my children. We ended up having a funeral Saturday so didn’t get to the car this weekend but we will get back on it now.
