Just a follow up to this for anyone who uses the search feature. I used the schrader tpms sensors from rock auto. Broke the beads on my tires, installed the sensors, checked the tire balance and programmed the new sensors using the dic and a tpms magnet. Sensors work perfect, and I now show pressure for all four tires...
It was a cheap and fast repair, and no more annoying messages on the dic while driving...
I've seen videos of repairing a TPMS without removing the tire. I've never done it, but it looks pretty easy if you have the right tools. Just google "How to repair a TPMS sensor".
