While all are good, some develop leaks over time which have been associated partly with heat exposure (so put a twenty dollar heat sleeve over the line) but primarily with the fitting type used at the connection. Those brands which use a flat washer to connect experience the potential for leaks while the Katech product supplies a fitting which perfectly matches the oem piece's tapered end.
Pro tip: many run the line end under fuel rail covers or leave it dangling. This is messy looking and sometimes risky. Securely mount your extension for ease of service and a clean install with
Just a small tid bit. Some have complained about the console lid not opening very far. It actually has a double hinge. You have to open it, then pull towards the driver to be able to open it vertical. I know most of us have figured that out, but some newcomers are surprised to find this out. I'm guessing it is designed that way due to the small space between the seats.
I am not a newcomer but never new or figured this out. Great tip.
Question What year of Gen 5 Corvette offered the most exterior color options? This year also has the 2 lowest production number colors.
Answer 1998 is when things got really interesting as there were 12 different exterior colors available. Then, there were the two unobtanium colors; Navy Blue Metallic and Aztec Gold. Navy Blue was rare due to very late availability and would gain momentum in 1999 but in ’98 it was the rarest color, only appearing on 12 coupes and 2 convertibles. GM had high hopes for the fancy Aztec Gold paint but multiple production issues resulted in just 12 coupes and 3 convertibles being painted this color before it was canceled....
Not entirely accurate. The 1998 Aztec Gold and Navy Blue were not production colors. They were experimental colors and not sold as new cars (you couldn't order these colors when buying a new 1998 C5). They were sold as used vehicles to GM dealers and "insiders."
As a result, Fairway Green is the rarest C5 production color, and FWIW, the rarest green available on any Corvette, ever.

When you remove the factory mufflers the right side pipe flange will not fit between the differential housing and the gas tank shield. At least mine wouldn't fit. Therefore you're thinking that you have to cut the pipe to get it out. Wrong, just simply remove the small inspection cover off of the gas tank shield and it gives you just enough room for the flange to fit through.
Or, you can undo the two sway bar attaching point and lower it.
Which years of Corvette had the LS2 upgraded water pump?
As a 2004 only part, these cars came with the LS2 pump which then has the C5 bell style pulley. What makes th LS2 pump be considered better than other C5 oem pumps is something I do not know.
