After recently aqua ring this c5 and seeing the limited amount of mufflers avail. That will work in the limited space of this c5 I chose a different route plus I don’t like all the bends. I put the mufflers I liked in instead of being corralled into having to pay big $$$ for fancy names with the word corvette attached to them. The only bend I have is about 30% and out it goes and if I wanna switch over to a different muffler it’s a breeze.
Finished up the area in the middle with plexiglass

It’s your car and is definitely a different location for the exhaust exit. First I have seen it done like that but nothing wrong with thinking outside of the box.

you know I almost wanted to do something similar except I wanted to cut a hole a little higher up in the bumper and use a finisher on the outside... however one thing I don't like about my idea is the rear center section looks naked with nothing there
Looks reasonably clean. I'm surprised that car is road legal in California though.
Because of the exhaust exit? CA is bad, but it's not THAT bad yet...lol
I really like the idea of the side exit exhaust like that, but I agree on making it higher and having a trim ring. A lot of C5's run that set up, looks great.
Wow wasn’t sure what kind of feedback ide get on this I really thought maybe ide come up with a new idea but after a cars been around so long thinking about it that would be almost impossible , thanx for the positive feedback though.
I thought about the “naked center” also neutron82 I agree with you . The plexiglass panel I stuck on there was fairly easy too shape and attach to the center to cover it up .
While I was messing with the plexi I also decided to make the piece that goes around the license plate with the Chevy logos in it which light up when it goes in reverse it when I set the alarm,

I thought you more or less couldn't mess with your exhaust at all in CA. The OP also swapped out his mufflers, and partially covered his reverse lights. I'm certainly glad to hear it if I'm wrong.

Can't mess with the cats, but a cat back or swapping out mufflers isn't a big deal. Trust me, there are way more $***boxes with straight pipes around here than I would like to be hearing lol. There was supposedly a dB limit law passed a year or two ago and everyone was up in arms over it, but much ado about nothing unless you're in the wrong place at the wrong time or give someone a reason to pull you over and nit pick everything.
