Does anyone know if you can get Sirius/XM satellite radio in a C5 and still keep the OEM Bose head unit? My C5 has the CD player head unit, not the cassette unit. I remember seeing older satellite radio "cassette inserts" that allowed you to pick up the satellite broadcasts. But they had limitations as far as frequency response, etc. Plus, as I said earlier, my car has no cassette, just the CD. I do have the optional 12 disc player in the trunk, if that makes a difference. Thanks guys......
When I bought my car back in '07 it had an XM receiver in it and I had the CD unit also. I removed it shortly after I got the car though as I didn't want to pay for music at the time and sold everything. It will work but I can't remember how it was hooked up off hand. I haven't had the stock unit in the car for a very long time.

Thank you, but what I'm trying to do is keep the stock OEM Bose head unit, but somehow get Sirius/XM radio, WITHOUT ditching the stock head unit.
I have the Sirius/XM satellite app down loaded to my Iphone. I have a blue tooth adapter in the cigarette outlet. I get my Sirius radio stations through the stock head unit. It might not be the greatest sound but it works for me.

Yep, and that’s what I posted. I was explaining that it did and will work with your existing stock CD head unit. I WASN’T trying to tell you to change it.
