Default New Garage

Just closed on a place in NC, plan on using it for retirement/summers (stuck in NE for a while for work).
The guy we bought it from had just finished building the separate garage, never got around to building the house.
The garage is 4 wide by 2 deep, with a 2 bedroom apartment/guest house on the second story. Perfect clean slate begging for some toys :-)

WOW! That's a fantastic starting point. Do you have any plans to add a lift? I wish I garage like that.

That's awesome. Great find and hope you can use every inch of it for fun. My plans are to look for something like that soon too. In Tennessee though.

That’s awesome! So happy for you.
I’ve thought about selling my house and building something just like that as is.
A conventional house just isn’t a necessity for me, and I’d so love to have that much garage space and a nice 2 and 4 post lift.

On a different note I hope your C5 mods you’ve been working on are getting close to being complete……for now!

It's actually a really decent house for a couple with no kids, the upstairs is about 2000 sq ft, 2 bedroom. The guy is an amazing crafstman, built all the counters/built ins himself.. we're going to spend a week or so down there over the summer planning out the house with the kids, and I think we'll have more than enough room. Plus it's right on lake Norman, so plenty of water stuff to do :-)

Only another few decades of working and I'll actually be able to enjoy it ....

And thanks on the car -- the interior is more or less done, I think I'm done with the motor for now, I'm right around where I want to be with it. Just dropped it off for paint, should get it back later this summer :-)

less the size, more the layout. also, two bedrooms for two kids? we have a boy and a girl, having them share a bedroom would be ... well wouldn't happen. :-)
