Cheap for a reason. They are heavy.

A friend said the Jegs wheels are fine, but they are heavy. I went with Cray's but they are twice as expensive, lighter and stronger. The Scorpions I bought are similar. As far as value, they are good. But roo is right, they are heavy which does affect handling at high speed. So keep it under 150 mph.

If the weight of the wheel is effecting your lap times, then Im surprised NASCAR or Indy Car havent picked you up as a driver yet...

If thats the wheel you like and can afford, then buy them. They will fit.

Yeah definitely not heavy enough to be a worry there, but you will notice the difference if you do services yourself. I went from a set of 18/19 chrome replicas to 18" wagon wheels all the way around and they are NOTICABLY lighter when you take them off the car.

Noted on the weight. As part of this I'm doing C6Z brakes so will already be bolting on some LB's (will weigh parts and post once I get things apart).

Just looking for a new set of wheels for track day use and used ones suddenly seem in short supply.

I guess a staggered setup wouldn't kill me if I could put it together for less money.

At NJMP I'm doing 110 on the straight - I'm there to have fun not kill it...

FLOW One on Tire rack are 18x10.5 and roughly 21 lbs with proven durability by others. Much better option than the OE Wheels for track use.

I run these exact OE wheels (except machine polished face) for daily duty and Flow One F4's for autocross.

I can't confirm if C6Z brakes will fit.

That page doesn't say how much the wheels weigh, which means they're probably heavy. Does anyone know how much they do weigh?

I ran a comparison on 18x9.5 wheels in this thread here, and ended up settling on the Apex EC-7 18x10 which weighs 22lbs and supposedly has huge brake clearance. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-18x9-5-a.html

For a 18x10.5 the are heavy. ~27 lbs on the same scale that measured my Flow Ones to be ~21 lbs (which is close to advertised weights which somewhat validated my weights/scale)

Another comparison is the OE Wheels C6Z black replica wheels in 18x10.5 are 24 lbs (also personally weighed using the same scale).

Sam @ Stranoparts.com can hook you up on some Flow 1s and other wheels, he's a wealth of knowledge on Vettes/Camaros.

Also check out this company, they make specifically for the C5 and have a good rep: https://www.apexraceparts.com/shop-b...-corvette.html
Their fitment guide is here: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

Do you have pics on the forum of your Flow One fitment? I want to do 18" all around and need some ideas on tire widths. Previous owner put 18/19 TSWs on and I'm gonna use them as my fall weather set so I'm looking at summer wheel ideas.

I don't but it's a common setup you may find pictures. Also plenty of wheel offset calculators out there to compare to stock C5Z wheel sizes/offsets. I run 18x10.5 with 315/335 Rival combo. I don't care about poke when racing.
