Thought I'd mention. If you go on fb and like the Glickenhaus racing team, Jim posted videos of their actual T-70 today as they prep it for some road time.
I wanted to confirm body alignments begin proportionate adjustments for the stretch. Here is a 5” stretch in the upper door/side window area that works nice with stretch. I’m trying to pull everything into a smooth look. The idea is if you don’t know T-70’s you won’t notice the stretch.
Wow! This s the kind of project a motorhead dreams of, but rarely has the skill for.
Your talent and craftsmanship is amazing, and I look forward with great interest as your project evolves.
ZR1 knuckles & rebuilt control arms with polyurethane going on finally Bodywork back off for suspension install, coil-overs fit neat. Waiting on alignment kit, new hubs & long studs to show up.
Cradles are blasted, poly bushings installed, new hubs ready to install. Should have it off the table & a roller here in a week or two. I’ll drop in the tub & screw the floors in so I can start riveting the floor. 422” LS3 went on the dyno today….ran it with a sheet metal intake we had just because it looks more the part, the torque is a little softer but it made more power with short runners.. Thing is a tractor, should pull any gear with ease….. Target weight for the car complete is just over 2000lbs. It should knock your teeth out.
Well here we go fabricating the right-hand drive Cadillac steering rack. I’m going to be clipping off the factory corvette tabs. I’m rotating the rack about 30 degrees forward to better alight the steering shaft better. I will be trying to keep the magnet on the steering unit for variable power-steering functions if I want to wire it in the future. This rack is exactly the same width, overall length at tie-rod pivots & ratio is just a touch faster than the factory unit.
