I'm thinking of ordering a QuickJack. The one I see advertised is a BL-5000SLX. If you have had experience using a QuickJack, please let me if you think they're worth it.
How high does it lift your car from the floor?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Mark
I've been using them for about 2 years now. No real complaints other than they are heavy for what they are. I have found the most convenient for me is to just leave them on the floor and shove one under a car and the other up against a wall on the floor. If I had to pick them up every time and put them away I would probably get annoyed enough to not use them.
I put my C5 on them at least once a month and a few other occasional cars at time.
NewFoundPower I would say the minimum height is approximately 3 3/4"
I give them a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

You'll get a lot of positive reviews. I finally pulled the trigger on one about 9 mos ago. Have used it several times for anything from just changing wheels to having it in the air for several weeks while rebuilding the suspension. Has a couple tiny leaks that I'll eventually fix, so I'd recommend using teflon tape right off the bat rather than the liquid thread sealant provided. I believe it gets it about 20" off the ground with pucks in place. The lifts themselves are 3" tall, but need a little space to start lifting before it's able to lift the car, so plan on at least 3.5" bare minimum. It doesn't fit under my car on the ground, so I just pull the car up on 4 2x4 pads before I use it. A set of cheap pucks that lock into the frame (ebay for less than $20) makes set-up a breeze.

I 100% agree with the weight part and is a big reason why I didn't buy them sooner. I bought the kit that comes with the wall hanger brackets, but I actually just leave them both on the ground and park the DD right over them.

Definitely worth it !!…LOVE mine !!…and yes 23 inches off the ground.

Being a mechanic by trade I knew what I need or wanted to use on those fittings. All were done out of the box with Blue Monster thread tape. It's triple duty over that white tape hardware store stuff. Zero leaks since built.

Thanks for the info Mr. Black (are you a Quentin Tarantino fan?). Does the QuickJack need only the wall outlet? I watched a video where it was hooked up to the car's battery and the wall outlet simultaneously. Your photos show the kind of clearance I'm looking for.
Is your QuickJack the 5000 or the 7000?
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Mark

You can specify either 110V or 12V. I love mine. I keep them under the car and when I need to lift the car I pull them out to the lifting points . I've had about 4 years of use and no issues.

Thanks for the reply got2hav1. Can you store the hoses separately after each use? I'd leave the QuickJack in my carport but I'd like to remove the hoses to make theft less likely.

lol Not a huge Tarantino fan but Reservoir Dogs is his best film IMO. It did have a role in the username I've used on boards since the early 2000s.
My setup is the 5000. I also ordered 110v only.
The hoses are on quick disconnects and they work well with no leakage.
I think it would be perfect for you to be able to take the pump and hoses away to store them separately.
Bought the same one and thought I'd use it more. I was wrong. Pretty much only use it for brake, suspension, and oil changes. That happens only once in a blue moon. For me it's kinda like an 02 socket. Something not used often, but it's nice when you need it.

I expect it will be much the same for me, I'm looking forward to the extra clearance. Been using jack stands on my Tacoma, the stands make the work doable but the QuickJack will make life easier, especially working on the Vette.

To do my exhaust I needed more room so I bought the truck adapters to go with it
Thanks Smoken1. I just ordered a QuickJack 5000 from Canadian Tire, there weren't any 5000's available on Amazon. I'll keep the truck adapters in mind should I need the extra space.

Mark
I have mine two years now and use them on all my vehicles.
If you rotate your own tires on non vettes, its great to have.
I also like that I can do my first oil change of the new driving season without having to start the car and driving it on ramps (I also have RaceRamps)
Eventually I will be installing headers with them.

I'm reading nothing but positive reports on the QuickJack so I ordered one about an hour ago.

I have a 7000slx and have been using it for a variety of car maintenance. The slx was too short (wheelbase length) for my daily driver (Acura mdx) so I had to get the extension kit ($220). I also keep the qj on the floor and the pump is on a table. I highly recommend it! This is on the first position.
