Default Carvaggio Seats

i tried the search and couldn’t find anything.

Anyone using Carvaggio seats in their C5. They look really good, but at $3295.00, I want to make sure they are comfortable.

any input I’d appreciated.

I don't have them myself, but I've seen them, and they look great. My advise for any seats is to sit in them before you buy them. Seats are EXTREMELY subjective. What is super comfortable for one person feels terrible to another. I can confirm that the Carvaggio seats are very high quality. Whether or not they're comfortable will mostly depend on you body type.

I agree and there is my problem. I believe Carvaggio is in Canada, so no chance of sitting in them unless I run across someone who had them. I can’t imagine them not being better and more comfortable than my sport seats with 77,000 miles on rhem.

I appreciate the reply.

I have them in my 02 Z and absolutely love them. I am 6 foot tall and weigh 170lbs. I slid back and forth in the factory seat and stay firmly planted in these. They aren't for everyone, I will say that. However, I absolutely love them and wouldn't change them. I also added Sparco harnesses and am very satisfied with the combo.

Check around with your local car / Vette clubs, you can also check out your local cars and coffee, etc. With luck, you can find someone who has them who will let you sit in them. Even if you can't find someone with Carvaggio seats, you might sit in another seat that you find you like. Good luck!

Thanks, they look really well made and I have never heard anything negative about them. I’ve got about $29,000 in this car with all the add ons and new paint, don’t want to put cheap seats in it.

C7 seats are becoming more popular for a C5 swap. Try doing a search on the Caravaggio seats and see if you get any hits.

I like the C7 seats, but I’m afraid it will be like the C6 and will love some of the electrical functions inside the car. I would like to keep the power seats(both sides) and telescoping steering wheel.. that was my only reason for looking at the Carvaggio, they are built on C5 frames. I will do some research on the c7 swap and see where it leads. Thanks for your input.

i tried the search, only found 2 posts, neither dealt with the C5. I may be doing something wrong when searching.

Try searching on Google instead of on here.
Type in "Corvette forum" after your key words.

You can retain powered function to both sides of the c7 seats in a C5. I believe you will need to give up the memory settings however.

As for the telescopic function, there have been schematics drawn up on how to retain that function but nobody has successfully attempted it as far as I can tell.

Here's my old install thread if this helps

I am pretty sure l have Caravaggio seats in my c5. I bought my car with these seats already there so l wasn't sure. My son works with Mr. Caravaggio's cousin who is in the auto industry and he spotted them right away. I will post pics of them when the winter cover comes off. I must say, my seats look beautiful and are very comfortable. Have no idea about the price.

Hi batone,
I had them installed back in 2008, and they still look the same today, and will do it again, not cheap but extra quality, depending of what you are looking for:

Those look really nice. I've been looking at possibly getting a set but like the OP I am concerned about the fit. The last set of aftermarket seats( Corbeau A4s) I had were way too narrow which made them uncomfortable. To the OP I hope you find what you are looking for, good luck.

those look great. I am going to go with a set, trying to get in touch with John Carvaggio. I emailed him and he asked me to call him, left a vm, hopefully he will call back.

the Carvaggio seats should be a perfect fit. He actually builds the seats on the C5 frame. I am going to get a set soon.

i searched for C7 seats, every set I found was 2300-2900. Carvaggio is $3200 and are plug and play. I’m going to go with a set of them.

Do you have to send them your seats, or do you get new seats altogether?
