I bought one years ago, when I never knew I would someday have a C5..LOL. It was made by Auto Art.

Edited to say that I should probably sell this thing, I just checked and they are on eBay for as much as $499!! WHAT!

I had two Auto Art 1:12th scale C5s. Hunted and bought them on ebay for around 250-300 each. Looked one day to see where they were trading. $700 bid! Sold! Had 4 GT40s, and a Cobra too. Very cool scale models. All in 1:12th scale. $$$$ I have one left. It's the street legal version of the GT40. Last I checked, the only one I found was offered at $920! Not saying it sold there but that was the offer. I look at that model and think, "Hmmm, what could I do with an extra 900?" Then I think, "I'm keeping it!"

I got rid of my collection when I downsized a few years ago. Kept all the Vettes and a couple of oddballs like the Green Hornet car. Things like that. I have the three prototypes of the C1, C2, and C3 in 1:24th scale. All auto Art. Very nice stuff. Love this stuff.

Make sure you put a post-it note under it how much it's worth, otherwise they might end up going to the local yard sale for $2 during spring cleaning!

I picked up my Nassau Blue 99 in 2004 and my daughters have grown up in it. Maisto made an exact replica of it in 1/18 that i recently scored 2 copies of to give to them in the future so they stop fighting over who will get the 1/1 scale version !!!!!!!!

These are the clean and raced corvettes that Dale and Dale Jr raced, I believe at Daytona.

Very cool, George. Are those made by Action?

Didn't realize you were so close. I'm in Windsor! Just watched your video yesterday about 5 must have mods with 2 bonus. Haha

These two are the AutoArt ones. Very nice I'm happy with them. Actually live in Aburg now, I'll have to update my profile.

Thanks for checking out my video. I'm hoping to have some more content early next year.

Anything under $100 for ANY AutoART is a steal these days.

I've been getting back into diecast collecting pretty hard this year and have bought 10-11 and getting anything under $100 shipped is rare. Anything out of production unless it sold in really high numbers has skyrocketed. What's funny is that the AutoART C5 (non-LeMans cars) are trading for good money, but they use the same molds as the older UT Model ones that are still somewhat reasonable. Had UT made a C5 in my color I'd have grabbed it instead of the Bbuargo I have which lacks a little on detail. I ended up purchasing two, one in stock/untouched form and then one I did a few modifications with to more closely match my car.

What's UT? Did they put out a Z06/FRC at all? I've been trying to find the best version possible and ended up with a Franklin mint wrongly advertised at 1:18. Or maybe I grab another AutoArt and mod it to what I want, but I wouldn't know how to make a clean FRC style roof line and trunk on my own.

UT = UT Models, a precursor to AutoART.

UT made all three body styles including a desirable tinted class roof targa model as well as models featuring the Magnesium wheels. They did not make a Z06. AutoART and Maisto made Z06s and Hot Wheels produced a FRC. If UT had made a C5 in navy blue I would have purchased their version without blinking.

nice model. A little bigger than I would enjoy, but smaller pre built C5 replicas are hard to find, as in, not made. I hit more than a couple of car shows with booths selling model cars, from hot wheels on up, and no dice, I asked. Miniaturization costs money, so I figure the pop up headlights are too tough to do nicely for friction toy money, and two blobs on front for headlights, or no visible headlights wouldn't sell to kids.

I have some highly detailed C5R slot cars , but they are not worth much, the required track makes them too space intensive in a world of computer games, so they are not highly valued. They are smaller, !/32 scale cars of the same level of detail, but the bodies are plastic and one piece. they are Spanish and intended for adults in slot car racing clubs, with lights installed so that the rears get brighter when you slow.

Auto art made a pretty accurate 1/32 scale four wheel drive Bugatti slot car I own, without the usual event specific race livery tampo printed on most cars. four wheel drive slot cars infrequently use gears, this one uses the usual joining rubber band on one side of chassis.

A favorite Christmas slot car to run around the tree is a red Mercedes 190 roadster with Santa driving baby Jesus around, no car seat, manger only.

I went into slot cars to share an experience with my kid, and legos kicked their ***. I keep the old cars in preparation for my second childhood, I enjoy the miniaturization. New stuff is digital, almost like RC, but still needs a slotted track for power and steering, but you can change lanes with switches.
