I have already purchased C8 competition seats from my previous employer. I had a unique opportunity, but I will in fact have the C8 competition seats.

I got extremely lucky! I can't believe they're the comp seats. much less just C8 seats. I got an update and delivery should be by Friday the 11th. Hopefully this winter storm doesn't delay them.

Awesome seats and worth the price. You can flip them for years to come if you don’t want them. BTW… seat belts are overrated. From the early 1900’s to the mid 80’s weren’t required to wear so why start now 😉

Interior of the car is immaculate. The car had 4,000 miles. These seats are going to be practically new.

I love my seatbelts. They hold me tight and make me feel loved in the absence of friends

did you ever verify the bolt spacing with the seller?

it shouldn't be too hard for them to get the numbers for you (us)

I did not. They shipped it almost immediately. They're already on their way. Didn't someone in the thread have a C8 and a C5?

The night I meant to do it my dog had a seizure out of no where and I spent the night at the pet ER. So unexpected chaos derailed me. I'm on my work trip until Sat morning, but will post as soon as I get back. I can't remember in the thread from a year ago if I put a picture of the brackets or it was just the seat.

Since you have a Z06, remember you will need to get a power source for your passenger seat, since that seat did not have power from the factory. It's not a huge issue but one to be aware of.

One call out and not to dampen your excitement, but I did something similar, I bought C7 Comp seats for my C5Z and I loved the look, I even had the Alcantara color changed to match my car. But after installing the seats in the car, my personal driving position was too high. I could not even get my finger between my head and the headliner. I would hit my head on the headliner going over a bump from time to time.
The issue was the seat Botto foam and frame on the C7 seats are much thicker than the C5 seats. That's partly why they are so much more comfortable. So my advise is it so place the C8 seats in position and sit in the car first.
I was not able to do that since when I received my C7 sets the setbacks were adjusted (they are powered) too far forward to sit in them to get a feel for the driving position. I had to wait nearly 6 months to get the power connections from an online vendor to control the C7 seat in my C5. I drove with the seats for a few months, but ultimately sold them.

Best of luck and post some pictures once completed.

thanks for the input! I'll certainly try them in the car before I bolt them in since I'm fairly tall at 6' 1". Luckily I will easily be able to resell these seats if they don't work out for me.

What advice do you have for the passenger side power source? I was aware of the issue, but hadn't put much thought into what I need to do to power it.

you can pull power for the passenger out of the fuse box in the passenger footwell. Also you are using a plug in wiring harness instead of just connecting the wires directly into the C8 harness, you will need a harness to plug into since the passenger side doesn't' have the harness either.

I bought a harness to just plug and play to plug into the C5 harness into the C7 seat, but like I said there is nothing there on the passenger side, so you need to run the power wire and source a female harness connector.

I was planning on directly wiring the driver seat. I'm not sure where I'd get a c8 female harness connector.

My C5 is buried right now(as I live in the Arctic) and I have stuff I have to move to get the measurements. Hopefully these help from the C8 end.
