Wow I had no idea. Wish I would have known that. I would have bought a set. My original brake pads are only a little more than halfway worn at 62,560 miles but I was going to start looking into either rebuilding and powder coating my stock brakes or go with big brakes. I would like to keep my stock wheels because I like the way the stock 5 spoke polished wheel looks on my Red 06 Convertible. The C6 Z06 or GS brakes will not clear them. I may go with different wheels. I have plenty of time.
Yep. Most go with forgestar wheels in order to clear the c6z brakes. But prices are too crazy for them now. Only a few sets left that got marked up to $2500 or more. Better off just going with wilwood. Anytime you add a cam or
boost, base brakes don’t cut it anymore. Gotta go Z.
Nice job on the calibers. It’s your car. You do what you like to it. I have done plenty of things to my car. And never ask anyone what they think. You will always get someone that don’t like it.
Pretty cool and surprisingly nice choice for a Pewter C5. I always thought Black or Burgundy was best on Pewter or Silver, but I am adding Lime.
Looks cool. Post a full side view please. Looks like the full Lime color is being a little washed out by the sun or a flash.
Great wheel choice and love the C6 Z06 or GS brake calipers and Eradispeed 2-pc rotors on a C5.
It was supposed to be Porsche Acid Green - but a bit on the yellow side. Looking forward to some track time in the Spring and see how they feel in battle…
