How much is a good price for the c6 seats black the bigger size and are they direct bolt in to the stock c5 mounts. I seen someone with a c6 with beige leather fullsize seats that looked extra comfortable. So are the c6 seats direct fit and just needs this adapter plug to make the buttons function c5-c6 seat harness. The switch conversion connector harness is 85$ would require two one for each seat so how much is a good price for c6 seats and are they direct fit bolt in for a c5 or are the tracks different? I have the c5 sport seats which were reupholstered 10 years ago did a nice job? Can anyone tell me if c6 seats are more comfortable or indeed have a wider back as the c5 seats i have are pretty narrow im 5'10 170lbs and they're just the size to fit me.
Yes, they bolt right in and the adapter is plug and play.
I originally used facebook log in on corvette forum the last 3 days it was having problems signing into facebook login app error so i made a corvette forum account. Sorry you bet maybe they fixed the facebook login. Thats my real name.

Can you tell me if the c6 seats are more comfortable they seem to have more foam or cushioning?
And whats a good price for a set of them in good condition. I still need to repair my drivers seat shims it rocks 1/2" stop n go which is way annoying when driving.
the c6 seats are a marginal improvement over the c5. they will fit in directly.
You don't need the wiring adapter -- it's literally three wires from the car side that plugs into the c6 side.
Do you have telescoping steering? If you get the vette works adapter, that will no longer work. Also, you will lose seat memory when you upgrade.
There are many, many, many threads dealing with this.
Not sure if i have seat memory or know how to use that function i turned the easy seat entry off as it bothered me sliding back everytime i got out of the car.

Generally, I think most people aren't bothered by the loss of seat memory. I went with c7 seats, and could care less. I'm the only one that drives my car, I don't need it.
The bigger deal is telescoping steering. that to me was a real pain to lose. If you have that, I do not believe the vetteworks adapter will maintain that (make sure you ask Dan specifically, their website is very much devoid of details on the c5->c7 section).

C7 seats will fit bolt in directly and they have a plug n play adapter? Im the only one that drives the car so seat can stay in one position. How comfortable are the c7 seats compared to the c5? The 98 z28 leather camaro seats were slightly bigger and more comfortable then these c5 seats but it may be me and the 1/2" rocking. The seat back feels just as wide as my body.
What is telescoping steering?

If you have the 2 buttons on the drivers armrest, that have a #1 to the left of #2, you should have the memory, which would include the telescoping steering column......
Yes, both C6 and C7 seat will fit in the C5. Comfort is EXTREMELY subjective. What feels great to one person can feel awful for another. I would suggest that you actually sit in a set of C6 and C7 seats before you decide. Although both C6 and C7 seats will fit on the stock rails, you my need to do the C6 seatbelt modification in order to make either work in your Corvette. There are many threads and videos about this mod. If you have questions about it, you should do a search. If you don't know what the memory or telescoping steering functions are, then you clearly won't care at all if you lose them (not all cars came with them as they were part of an options package). Prices will vary for the seats, but the C7 seat a a LOT more than the C6 seats. Expect to pay at least $2K+ for a good set of C7 seats. Good luck.

Do a search. I dropped in c7 seats in my car, others have as well. They are direct drop in, only requires modifying the plastic trim piece on the b pillar and swapping in c6 seatbelts (for clearance. Again, there's a thread on this -- I did a specific thread on swapping this in the c5 tech section, it takes all of about 20 minutes. Very trivial job.).
The c7 seats are just .. in a different class than the c6 and c5. Night and day difference. There's an article explaining why in one of the threads. They're built better, better materials, and have a much better overall quality and support. I love em.
Edit:
Here, I did a little work for you.
Here's my post on swapping out c5 for c6 seatbelts: swapping c5 seatbelts for c6

C6 seats are noticeably better than the C5 sport seats I had. They don't look like the 90s, which helps a lot too. Inflatable bolsters are a neat trick as well. As far as the rocking goes, I belive C6 seats are susceptible to that issue as well. Luckily, it's an easy fix either way.
C6 seats usually go for $400 to just under $1,000. C7 seats are definitely even more of an improvement, but you're easily looking at $1,200 to $2,000. If you're willing to spend that kind of money, you're probably not looking for a budget seat upgrade lol. I got my 2011 C6 seats in great condition locally for the low end of the listed range and sold my C5 sport seats for more than that.
