Lol Overdrive... like I have an automatic. Great song anyway, great animation too.
One of these days I'm going to make a mix for driving the Vette, so far I have Heavy Metal (Takin' A Ride), Life In The Fast Lane, Highway Star, Red Barchetta, Satan Is My Motor and a whole bunch of Racer X tracks (Street Lethal, Lucifer's Hammer, Bolt In My Heart).
Up until now all I have driven the car is to the tire shop and a few local errands. Drove it to the beach this evening and everything seems smooth and normal.
Very clean. Don't see too many white with white top verts. Also love the black wheels.
The wheels look nice in person...they don't show up much in photo's tho. I like them much better than the chrome C6 wheels that were on it. I have new struts coming for the convertible hatch...it's a challenge to get the top up/down while holding open that hatch at the same time lol. The wheels I really like are $6000 a set...don't think I will be going there soon.
I'm about to drop the exhaust soon to free up that area on the rear where I want to vinyl wrap a dark color...
Initially, I was going to use Black wrap, but I already have a roll of carbon fiber look wrap on hand and may use it instead. I was thinking about those rubber insert muffler hangars that no longer are available...why couldn't I just fab up a couple of steel brackets myself to replace the old mounts? I know there are some phenolic inserts available out there to replace the rubber, but it seems they would be just as prone to transfer some vibration. In addition the phenolic blocks are not captive within the brackets in any meaningful way. In a perfect world one could devise a spring loaded block where the pipes could be adjusted somewhat, but...something like that is beyond my capabilities.
Maybe a simple 1/8" steel L-bracket with a slot cut in it. Forgive my poor rendering lol...

It didn't take long to figure out this wrapping business is not for me lol. Really need an extra pair of hands with this stuff...shame, it would have looked great. Back to something I know I can accomplish which is paint.

Muffler reinstall was a bit easier than coming off thank goodness. The hangers ended up being in good shape...I added some better clamps to hold everything in position.
Removed the tint film from the lenses this morning. The longer I looked at it the cheaper it made the car appear... I did leave the tint on the back-up lights. Still working on the paint line where it bled under the masking tape.
