Just finished putting it back together took it out about a mile never got over 30 builder said to run it through some heat cycles got back no leaks thankfully so after I break it in I’ll let you all know what I think
Woo hoo! Nice work brother. Even at low speed during break in did you notice the difference in how your car low speed drives? Much smoother and more pleasing to drive with the cam/gear combo.

I look forward to the post break in report.

If you are the type to skip gears, lug/shortshift then low gears arent for you.[/QUOTE]
I somewhat agree. So I'll add a bit more color.
If you are one to lug the gears are not for you. If you shortshift or like to cruise the strip you'll love the 4.10 gear.
With the 4.10 you have more shift pattern options when cruising around without lugging, bucking, or having to manipulate throttle & clutch excessively. Especially with a cam. Like when taking the wife for dinner in a busy beach town. 1st-3rd no longer lugs. On the main roads and highways 3rd to 5th, or 4th to 6th does not lug with shorter shifts.
You can't do this as smoothly, easily or pleasurabley with 3.42's. The legs are too long with 3.42s. That's why everyone bought a CAGs 1st-3rd skipshift elimimator plugin or had the skipshift tuned out.
Now you can enjoy playing with more shift options.
The 410.s are great for a lot of reasons.

Still breaking it in but wow what a difference just taking off in first gear is soooooo much easier
EXACTLY! Which is why it's always funny to debate gear naysayers that make statements like "you'll get no traction" or "your gas milage will be horrific". All wrong.

I don’t get the talk about gas mileage anyway mines not a daily just a toy

Mine was a daily the first 6 years. I lived in Southern California and it was the right thing to do. Now 23 years later she only gets out a few times a year.
But it's not like any of the above matters. We bought a sport car to "sport". Anyone that bought for gas mileage should've bought a Hyundai.

I agree with the Hyundai for mileage. I was telling you (Johnny) how I'm going to change cams next year, and some of the change may, hopefully, help mileage. But the change is mainly for more power and a bit better drivability. I'm happy with my cars mileage, which is 22mpg highway, not bad for a built LS7 coupled to an A4. If it gets better, so be it.But if it gains power and drivability, that's a win/win in my book. The Prius and Hyundai owners may beat my mileage, but if we race. I'll have time to stop, get out, and open a cold pop, or beer, when I finally see there running light approach. Point being, I agree. NEVER buy a Vette, or Viper, etc., for gas mileage......
Little update been raining a lot so I’ve only got about 60 miles on it 1st gear is soooo much better not as good as stock but it’s good and traction I’ve half throttled to about 4k not much traction but it sure is fun bottom line it makes me smile every time I drive so that’s what matters

I knew you would love it!
Weather here in NJ was perfect during the work week. This weekend (my Corvette driving time) the weather forecast sucks.
Not sure which tires you are running but a good tire will change that for you. I like the Nitto 555R2 drag radials for the rearset and for the price they can't be beat. Same for G2s up front.
I was getting traction with 428rwhp and 4.10s. I still get traction with the R2's (sans the 4.10) with over 200 more rwhp.

I wouldn't run the G2s out back. They are a steering tire in my opinion. I had the NT555's in the back of my car for a while (similar to G2) and they were decent when brand new. But after a while they were just too hard for a rearset, especially when making good power.

after those are gone I’ll look into the r2’s thanks
