Default Good Bye LED Tail lights Hello Oled

LED tail lights with OG halos were cool in 2010 but what we need is to update.
OLED’s have the brightness; programmable to super cool patterns and they look 3d
I will gladly wait for a company to build some. They’ve started doing trucks so can’t be too far out

With the coming release of the InfraRai lights(infinity) lights for the C6 from vette lights; I would imagine a C5 version might not be too far off(fingers crossed).

That's cool, but those will be out of style next week! 😉 Let me know when they make some little 8k TVs for our taillights. (😆 or whatever 'k' we're up to these days)

Hologram effect lights have been around for a long time. Effect even pre dates present LED tails now. It’s nice, just too played out with the Fast and Furious crowd though

Well the idea is growing and to be around in a lot of new cars. Audi and many others are using OLED in their cars and manufacturing likes how slim and programmable it can make them, pour k ?

LEDs are brighter and more durable than OLEDs. Those are neat, but I'll stick with my halos for now. The infinity tails are cool too. Maybe someday if I feel the need for a change.

OLEDs afaik are not as durable against extreme temperatures, I'd wait and see how these OLEDs act right after the warranty periods

Fancy shaped taillights are found on everything, even Civics and Kias, while Ferarris still use lights that look like trailer lights. When cartoon shaped lights become the norm, simpler rounds will stand out.

According to what the OLED manufacturers and Audi are reporting they're good for -41C and longevity surpasses LED's by a substantial amount. Like everything being built now it's a degree higher in engineering but the light quality and visual effects with programming is next level compared to single dot LED's

Guess I should've added that the costs are relative for OLED's right now.
That particular light is trading for $ 4- 500 up which doesn't seem out of line

The day I make my car do the Knight Ryder thing or sequential turn signals is the day I turn in my man card.

I'd be happy if I could just find some euro half amber/half red tails that aren't an arm and a leg. I admit those Infinity tail lights for the C6 look super cool but I haven't seen pics of them in bright sunlight.
Have a hard enough time being seen by other vehicles when I brake/put turn signal on as it is.

LED/ halo lights are So overplayed, even pickup trucks & 4x4’s are going to OLED’s.
Look around.

Marketing fad. Something different. Like fake painted grills on EV cars now. Or weird *** brake light shapes. Or light bar halos also on weird *** shapes. They have good tech but have had no idea what to do with it for some time. Or another grill fad.... Giant *** oversized front grills on cara and trucks as an image style which far surpasses the need for airflow. Like BMWs for example looking absolutely humorous presently.

My wife and son would yank my man card if
I were to even think about LED/halo tail lights in our Mercedes SL whereas OLED’s look modern and a good upgrade
I get the feedback people have about change and want the same old thing but at some point when they make a quality OLED; like normal bulbs to LED happened, change is inevitable

Not so much humorous as ugly. A long time friend has always been a Bimmer owner. He is looking at their current styling and wondering wtf they were thinking.

Pretty sure there is a set in the parts for sale section that seemed decent with the wire harness.
