Fwiw I sold my 2020 c8 rims with tires (5/32) off of Facebook to get them out of my garage for 200 dollars. They were round and fine. I just wanted them out of my garage as I went to black rims with new tires. The c8 silver wheels usually sell for 400 a set of four.

that said I think the c8 rims look very good on the c5 and have a ton of friends with c5 s and would like to know if the slight bolt pattern difference make the c8 rims safe for c5 corvettes to use.

thanks in advance.

Unless you machine out the CB you end up with a 1-4” hub spacer pushing the wheel out with a lot more poke than listed rear wheel offset
Again, I don’t have a C8 wheel so I can’t be sure the M14 taper seat on the wheel is going to cause issues with a 12 mm shank taper lug used on C5’s with the slightly different bolt pattern

If your son's bf is glad to open up the center bore for you, why do we keep talking about the center bore being an issue and having to run spacers? The offsets are perfect otherwise. Fronts are slightly more aggressive than a base C5 wheel, but still less aggressive than a C5Z wheel. And rears are the same as a C5Z wheel. They'll fit far better on a C5 than any C6 wheel will...lol

Bump! Anyone done this yet? Just acquired a C5 and think it would look pretty good lowered with my 500 mile wheels/tires off my C8.

Yeah! I think it looks good, and I have the exact set with maybe 500 miles on wheels/tires off my C8 just setting in my garage.

Bump, just found another picture of a car with the swap. Think this is direction I’m heading with my car as I already have the wheels just hanging out in garage from my C8.

What size tires? No issues with the 12mm lugs seating on the 14mm C8 wheel tapered lug seats?

The stock 245/35/19(front) and 305/30/20 (rear) C8 sizes. The common recipe I've seen people do is machine center hub of wheel to the C5 hub size and a set of PCD adjusting (wobble) lugnuts.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with machining the wheel bore center and using wobble lugs to correct the minimal bolt circle difference. I was just wondering about the 12mm lug taper fitting in the 14mm lug seat.

Nice.... Have you viewed "the look" with the Sun out from behind the clouds? 😏 Will America's Tire screw up the mounting? No, "They" won't because they are good wheelers, but.... Will this "modern" GM wheel happily begin to crack and loose presious air pressure like So many of em fancy leakers from modern GM.?..... Hey, We just want a wheel product of quality, which is not necessarily GM's.

Those wheel sizings are starting to grow on me. Never liked a 20" front wheel on a C5 but it seems with the right tire and ride height, I'm starting to change my mind.

My bad, I must have been thinking about the 20/21 combo some C8's have.

The owner of the white 2001 used 12x1.5 acorn style lug nuts.
