LMC5 by Complianceparts.com is the best.
The extra step of the "Brown Wire mod" is typically necessary for a complete 100% bypass to correct all issues with "pull key wait 10 seconds" error.

I ran one of the original column lock bypass devices on two of my C5s, but if I were going to install one now, it would be an LMC5.

People have tons of problems with the LMC5. The original CLB is much more reliable and is discounted right here on the forum.

I only had two problems, neither the fault of the LMC5. Had a difficult time getting the column unlocked with the unlocker (had to remove the steering column shroud and tap on the lock with a screwdriver and hammer, per Richard's advice) and I got one of the LMC5 pigtails 180 deg out in the mating connector.

I dunno... the LCM5 is has been the Bullitt proof, "go to" for a long time. The "People with tons of problems" are awful quiet.

Then why do so many owners have to "call Richard?"

Default LMC5 2000 vette

Hello
I just had this installed to correct the Pull Key code. It unlocked the steering wheel as required but now I get the Pull Key message.
Nobody i have spoken with can help me with this problem. Hopefully someone here know the fix.
Thanks in advance.
Doug

Did they do the "Brown Wire" additional install suggested in the instructions? That install usually corrects the pull key issue.
