I totally get why people would want them removed, when the top is removed it does create a less feeling open air experience... To each their own of course, I also see why people would want them..... I had an Nc Miata for a very long time and the visors were actually crafted into the windshield frame and never stuck out past the windshield giving a true open air feeling with the top down,,,
I definitely don't feel that when my top is off.....
I'm on the fence about deleting mine as well, it's not fair to criticize the people that do or do not want them....
I got the aftermarket ones from corvette mods (I know I know, but I didn't order them...) they are HUGE. Like they came off a van.. I'd gladly replace them with ones about two inches tall and no built in vanity. They could be just thin plastic. Hmmm.. maybe I can make my own??
Removing them entirely is literally the first "mod" I did just days after buying the car lol. I don't know how anyone that's over 5'8" isn't annoyed by the blocked visibility. The fact that someone actually make caps for people that remove them should say it's a common enough issue haha

I took mine off shortly after buying my c5 8 years ago to fix them (they were floppy). To this day they sit where I put them then on the shelf.
I can think of a couple early morning drives where they might have been nice for a few minutes. But 99.9% of the time, Zero need for them, and now they aren't in the way. They'll keep collecting dust on the shelf....
