23K is too much for it being an auto ..not a horrible price for a Z06, but after the cost of buying and putting a 6 speed in, I might as well just buy a proper Z06
I guess great for someone who wants a Z06 and can't drive stick for any reason.
I'm sure that it was converted by someone that loved the car and either due to age or ability could no longer deal with the clutch. I remember threads in the past detailing how it was done by members on this board. For the price quoted, just pass on it. Good luck in your search.

I would suggest Stingroo's comment is more about the touring and road course nature of the car's original intentions instead of being about manual vs. auto. But this thread is full of shenanigans, so whatevs.
