So I just picked up a very clean, garage kept 2000 with only 54k miles on it last week. Inside and out it is awesome. Bone stock.

I have been reading up on shift kits making a notable difference in the shift lag with the A4. My questions are 1. Is there a particular brand than anyone recommends for the shift kit? And 2. Has anyone installed one and, if so, what are your thoughts?
Check out RPM transmission. Many of their transmission upgrade packages include a shift kit. You might also want to consider changing the gears in your differential. That would potentially lead you to a higher stall torque converter.

Warlord has a good idea, but that’s pricey. If you want a shift kit, go to a reputable corvette shop, and ask them if it’s really worth it. My A4 trans has 76,000 on it, had a 3.73 gear and 3200 converter put in last year. I questioned a shift kit. They said my trans shifts fine, so leave it alone.
