I have not, but there was a year or more where new weatherstripping was either used or unavailable, and at least a couple of members had windscreens replaced, so it must be possible.
That said, as a ‘97 your weatherstrip is as old as they come, so you need someone who will be quite cautious.
Also, an aftermarket weatherstrip is now available, although no aftermarket weatherstrip is ever as good as the GM product.
A resounding YES!! Mine was done by a glass company that had to wait 3 weeks for the windshield. This was 2 years ago, IIRC. Anyway, I told them up front they had to handle the weatherstripping with kid gloves, as a new part was made of unobtainium. They didn't disappoint, and did a great job. Can't tell its not OEM, which is as it should be.....
