It seems “Our” C5 Era

…is slowly coming around to NCRS

but not with the intensity of the previous generations..

It is my perception that the C5’s are likely the Most Modified Era of Vette’s to date

Guessing this has a Significant effect on participation

However, All should be appreciated together..

NCRS could use a “Bad *** Driver Supercar Section”

I would like to do it for the challenge. I am not far off but I have things that I would need to address. I would love to see the judging form. I may get their book on the C5.

TF is added value at resale.

I guess things like replacing the stripped plastic headlight gears with metal ones would be an issue for certification?

‘You need to read the judging requirements.

Generally it is required that the car appears as it did when built. The gear is not a problem but if they can see the motor has been opened it could be an issue.

Most cases like this if a part is discontinued they will have sub parts that are acceptable.

here are our score sheets, you start with 4510 points, then need approximately 95% of the 4510 for top flight, There are 5 judging categories, if you are under they also give 2nd flight(red ribbons I think 90-95% gets Red Ribbon)

I have just a few small things and I think I could do pretty well here. My Stock wheels are not perfect but not bad. I wonder if they would accept the Z06 wheels I have on now. They are new.

My interior is perfect as is the engine compartment.

My skid bars have a slight ding in them but they are painted and clean. A few chips in the windshield.

Hyper there is margin for error, anything they find that is considered a deduction does not mean you can't get Top Flight. There are bonus points as well, you get extra points for driving your Corvette to the event (some guys trailer them, no bonus points for that) Also you get extra points for fire extinguisher, battery cut off switch and NCRS sticker on window (I didn't' have any of these, didn't know) Other examples, you are not going to have the original battery obviously but having the correct brand (Delco) is a plus. Another thing they look at is the owners manual, having all the paper work in it, having the flashlight and pen that came with it etc. I think you will do well.
