well BAT declined the listing unless I listed with no reserve, so that kind of speaks to the market?
I think that just speaks to BAT not liking your reserve or wanting any reserve as a matter or course. Try Cars and Bids. See if they will go for it.

BAT is a very odd place. I have seen them turn down cars for sale while the had worst examples of the same car on site.

Well I learned a few things when I listed a car a few years ago , One be careful how tyou come up with your reserve price. If you list a car, any car, and your car doesnot meet the reserve price, Say you wanted a reserve price of say $20.000 and it only gets to $17.000 and you fail to sell the car, then if you decide to use another auction site like Hemmings, you can not use the same numbers on the second aution site, if it only got to $17.000 the new auction site is not going to allow a $20.000, instead you must make your reserve price below $17.000 and your price must be about $17.000. Why, because the new auction site doesn't want to list you car at a price which in their estimation is non attainable, and dispite your paying the listing fee, your wasteing their time, and their losing money on the listing as it won't get that higher price. And all of these on-line auto auction sites monitor all the other on-line sites so the sell/no-sell information is right there for their use. Fair, . . I don't know if acepting less than you think the vechile is worth ?? but these auction sites are businesses and they want guaranteed income. I suppose you can wait a year or two, but . . . .

I just saw this and it seems to drive home what everyone is saying about what a good/fair price is- This car is in the Mid Atlantic (Chantilly Va) area
Not a bad 04/A4 car AND the FASTEST color!

See it depends where you are. My buddies car was just like this with a six speed and a few more miles and got $19500.

In Florida you would see even lower.

Chantilly is a pretty pricey area.
