Tire rack has some sets of tires that are right around 700+ or -
They are probably all you need, and they will grip fine. Run flats are probably over 1000.
you will probably need new TPMS sensors, mounting, balancing, road hazard, expect to pay over 1,000 even if all 4 tires cost 700
i've got the same hankook evo v12's in 17/18 on my '04 c5!!
Best bang for the buck tires, IMO. I've always been a big Michelin fan until I bought new tires for my C5 Z06. Vetteman Jack suggested I try a set of the Hankooks. He was right.
Both my former 02 Z06 and current 01 roadster have Hankook 265/35/18 fronts and 325/30/19 rears. Just didn't see the value in paying $400 more for Pilot Sports.
When I replaced my run flats, I went through this analysis considering: !) Do I like the ride in the current run flats?, (2) When did I have a flat tire last in any of my 3 cars? 3) When did I have a blow-out in any of my cars? (4) What precautions did I put in place for the unexpected? Answers: (1) No, (2) Not in the last 25 years, (3) never; (4) Have spare tires in 2 cars, Have cell phone, have 12 air pump and plugs in the Vette, and just in case, AAA roadside. I replaced my tires in the Vette with a non run flat.
I’ve tried quite a few different brands already, if you’re not driving on a road course, you don’t even notice a difference in grip. And if your doing a spirited drive, these cars can corner so fast, your breaking the law, a set of cheap sumitomo will probably be fine, but I would prefer more like a General tire, Bridgestone, hankook, continental, Firestone, or nitto. Michelin is way to expensive for me.

You can go with either runflats or non-runflats, your choice. Keep in mind that the quality and performance of runflats has dramatically changed, for the better, since they first came out on the C5.

The best tire for the money is the Nitto. They have a good selection of sizes too.
I would not put Handkooks on my worst enemies car. My wife had a set on hers from the factory and we had to replace them. They had no grip on wet roads at all. I put on a good set of Goodyears and no complaints since.
Remember generally you get what you pay for. Even with Michelin you get an older design it is going to be a poorer quality tire vs their latest performance options,.
Thanks for the input, I bought Continental extreme service tires for my 2001 and it definitely rides quieter and smoother than the 18 year old run flats.
