Settle an argument: headers or final drive upgrade?

if you do the rear end gear swap, I would definitely do the couplers in the torque tube as part of that upgrade. Inspect and make sure the shafts and seals are good since you have to bust that apart. My couplers looked pretty good after 22 years but were rock hard and starting to fail. if you are doing the rear end, I would go ahead and get that sorted out so you know when you put the power to it, it won't grenade and leave you stranded with your fresh rear end!

Flush those brake lines too!

I swapped out my 2.73 for a 3.42SP and it made a world of difference, so to me, gearing over headers.

Since you have a MN12 already, I would say 4.11s unless you are going to go up in power later. If you're going up in power later the 4.11s might not be best.
