First time since I've had my C5 that I drove it in darkening conditions, so first time using the headlights.
And, I know, shame on me for not even checking them out before now.
But, apparently the previous owner installed some upgraded bulbs, and they are very bright, and very white.
So, guess I will not need to change them out!
I need a filter for my phone camera...
You should be able to look at them (when off) and see if they are LEDs or not. I guess another tell is if oncoming drivers keep flashing their brights at you. There is an ongoing debate on how well the LED bulbs work in the factory housings, with some insisting that all of them will blind oncoming drivers, while others say the newer versions do a much better job of focusing the beam. It's hard to tell from your picture how well aimed or focused they are. A picture of them shining on a garage door would be more telling.
So, tonight was the darkest I have driven my car in, completely after dark, and the headlights are definitely LED, and appear to be cheap ones, light up the side view better than the front, but still very easy to see ahead for a long distance. And, apparently, no brighter high beam bulbs are installed, because they do not work near as well as the low beams.
Also, tonight was the first time backing up into my driveway in total darkness, and I discovered that the backup lights do not work at all, going to have to figure that out.
