C5 Advice
You said you don't drag race, so unless you like a d!ck measuring contest to say you make 1200hp, what's the point? Oh well you don't make 1200hp because your trans gives up before you do lol.
Like someone else said, a car that sat for 3 years due to this is a garage decoration. Lower the HP goals to 500-600 and actually go drive the car to enjoy it. Or sell it all and take up knitting.

For example, say it costs 20k to retrofit an LS engine to a non LS car.
Then, using the LS engines which are free junkyard LM7 or similar.
The cost to drive with an LS at that point is free, because you only have to pay the retrofit once. You can reuse all the retro fit parts as you replace/rebuild/maintain the LS engines.
And so with transmissions, the main cost is keeping a unit alive at 2k rwhp or whatever.
Say the retrofit is 20k again and the unit is 2k
Well its only going to cost 2k per year (or for every unit that blows) not the 20k you initially paid to get it retrofitted.
Over time, those little 2k's greatly outweight the initial investment.
Even if we just look at oil changes,
200kmiles / 3k miles oil changes is 66 oil changes
times $35 per oil change its $2,333 for oil changes over 20years 200k miles?
If the engine was a $500 LM7 then the actual cost of the engine is $500 + $2,300 oil changes for 20 years (big picture)
Those oil change costs never go away even if you swap the engine out
But you'll never pay the initial retrofit cost again no matter how many times you swap it
The reason I bring this up and make this worldview is because many people believe they can buy one engine or one transmission and make 1k or 2k rwhp for 20 years with it. When in reality the cost of maintaining and replacing those units, especially at a novice level, is going to greatly outweight any cost to retrofit them.
This is why I suggested a stock engine and stock engine power(700rwhp~ for 02-07 LS 4.8/5.3/6.0 variants), that ensures 200k when setup correctly, which negates the constant maintenance and cost of swapping in and out units which is the main cost as time proceed to infinity, we can actually drive it for free for real if we mind that statistic

. If he wants it, then go build a trans to handle it. Preeeeeety simple. If he doesn't want to spend the money on the trans, dial down the power to something reasonable, or part the car out.We did give advice. If you can't understand the stern standpoint some have then maybe you're a little soft and should toughen up.
Building a 1500hp car takes time and MONEY then the OP has complaints the car sitting so long and breaking multiple transmissions that were not built to hold the power...sorry (not sorry) but that's a pretty foolish approach. Sounds like this build wasn't planned out too well.
