Install some sound deadening material in the car and you should notice a lot of difference. Plenty of threads on the forum concerning this topic.

C5 Coupe, Electron Blue 21U, LS1 5.7, SFI, Limited Slip, Trans code MX0, and YES it is 2.73.

Quality butyl mat for the base, followed by foam. In acutely loud areas, like behind the seat, panel in front of the license plate, center section of cargo floor, and wheel wells benefit from a top layer of mass loaded vinyl (MLV). Good luck.
Keep in mind a huge amount of road noise is transmitted through the doors themselves. Always buy a kit that has the doors included or don't forget the doors if you are doing it yourself.

That would explain the sluggishnes of your car. That highway gear is a major detractor unless you have 800+ whp.

Nah, not a single thing good, nice or fun about the 2.73 in an A4 with stock HP...other than slightly improved MPGs over a 3.15... and no advantage, just detractors, compared to an m6 car with 3.42 and 6th gear OD...other than the ability to be lazy in traffic.

Only the 2.73 owners complain about their cars performance and find them anemic compared to cars a full second slower in the 1/4 mile.

The C5 never should've been sold with an A4 with 2.73 final drive.

Rattles and squeaks, never had and still don’t. My PRTs take care of the road noise. I for one enjoy the sound that my Corvette surrounds me with.

Not stalking, but I checked a few profiles. Yea, I'm sure you've had more than your share of adrenaline and heart pumping moments SIR. A few horsepower and mph in a car means nothing. WELCOME HOME.
I've flown offshore with a few of your Brothers, landing on toadstool platforms in the Gulf, and that was more thrills than I wanted.
I'll say the same thing here that I do on the Harley Forum - I don't have anything to prove, just looking to enjoy what I have and the time I have left. I've done 11 sec Quarter/mile, been over 150mph on 2 wheels, raced Moto X, and other things I won't mention here.
I appreciate all input and help given, I never thought my (Vette) car was a performance car, not doing the Quarter, and the highest speed limit I'll see is 85mph. Might cheat on that a little.
I'm just trying to make this car, quieter to enjoy the ride. Wish EVERYONE the best.

Nothing wrong with that.
And, that little bit of sound deadening and C7 seats I put in my car has made it immensely more enjoyable to drive.
The guy I bought my car from wouldn't recognize it now.

I did that and it took me to a thread with 18000 post. I plan to do the doors, rear cargo area and are behind the seats first. I'll check after that and possibly move to the Trans tunnel, floorboard, and perhaps the wheel wells.
Thanks

My C5 sounds silent compared to my 1980 Z28 that sounded like a hurricane.
