Hi folks. I'm looking for a 1.5 DIN audio system for my 2004 C5 Commemorative Edition convertible. I ran across information about Reversion Raceworks head units. The product looks good....fits right in to the C5's original space for the original head unit with no cutting or trimming required. It looks OEM! It also appears to have all the nice features like Apple Car Play, back-up camera, USB ports, etc.
Has anyone had experience with this unit? It's not cheap! Over $560 with the required adapter harness and various antennas. I'd like to know people's experiences before I pull the trigger. Thanks for your help in advance.........Steve Snider
I have their kit in my car, I don't have any good pics of it- but I am happy with the fit/finish- but the stereo itself is a little buggy. The thread above has some great tips and tricks I plan to try. Lots of us have been spending time sorting thru the minutia of a "perfect" install

I have one in my 2000. Have had trouble with the unit resetting its time. Works great for a few days and then the radio time resets and then need to be set to correct time. Been back and forth with Reversion Raceworks of which has been helpfull as they say they have never had this problem. Mine is the Gen I model. Maybe the Gen II is better. Would like to get a refund or at least a replacement.
Thanks Missileboy. I've probably read every site there is about my problem. Removing radio again for the third time and checking all wiring again. Getting pretty quick on removing it. lol. Everything works great. Just that the radio resets after a few days
Am I wrong, or is this just a unit typical to what you'd find on Amazon for under $150 and they just include a nice 3D printed adapter to fit the OEM space?

I would say yes. Reversion Raceworks said I should connect the GPS antenna of which I just did. Will see what happens.

The owner of Reversion Raceworks has jumped in multiple FB groups stating that their unit is not one of the typical Amazon units. He said that while there are similarities, their unit was specifically designed for them.
This is a Sjoy unit I put in my 03Z, there was some trimming of brackets but they supplied all the necessary mounting hardware. It fit really great with the new bezel and has all the features you would want and it was just over $100 on Amazon. You have to get the necessary adapter harnesses, be careful with that.
