I just had to make certain it was level. I was very surprised at how close to factory specs my GTech was. I was a bit disappointed in HP readings until I went back to the instruction book and discovered that the GTech will also measure how much HP is required to push the car through the air. Astationary dyno doesn't. I was getting about 285 RWHP for my stock C5 0-60 5.2secs 1/4 mile 102 @ 13.7
I lent mine to a friend so I don't have the instructions, but I think the trap speed issue was related to the track measuring a certain distance from the end up to the end, while the Gtech gives instant speed at the end. I've never compared the difference between track and Gtech, I'd be interested in knowing what the average difference would be. :)

Re: G-Tech (vrumvrum)
I have one and I used it in my old C4 a bunch of times while at the track. ET was about .2 off and it always read about 3 MPH too fast. The results I got with it were consistent.
The set up on the Pro unit is just make sure the unit is level, straight and on tight. On the Comp there is a procedure to perform to set it up internally. The MPH is not off but actually very accurate. It reads the MPH differently than the track. The track averages the last 66 ft and the G-tech's mph is at the exact end of the 1/4
